Petit Pli win Dezeen Award

CFE is delighted to announce that FashTech Accelerate business, Petit Pli has been selected as the winner of the ‘Wearable Design’ category of the Dezeen Awards. The business combines the areas of sustainability and innovation to develop ‘clothes that grow with your child’ and was founded by Ryan Yasin to address the wasteful nature of fashion through garments that grow up to 7 sizes.

“Children outgrow their clothes in a matter of a few months, yet we clothe them in miniaturised adult clothing, as opposed to designing them from the ground up. With 11 million children in the UK, I thought it was time we redesigned children’s garments,” Yasin told Dezeen.

The judges described the product as  “A sustainable yet elegant design for the most important people in the world.”

The Dezeen Awards is an annual awards programme recognising talent across 33 categories in the areas of architecture, interiors and design. Judges included architects David Adjaye and Rossana Hu, interior designers India Mahdavi and Afroditi Krassa, and designers Benjamin Hubert and Formafantasma.

Congratulations to Petit Pli!
