Indonesia Fashion Forward

The Indonesia Fashion Forward (IFF) programme was a successful collaboration between the Centre for Fashion Enterprise, Jakarta Fashion Week (Femina Group), and British Council Indonesia. IFF delivered support to emerging fashion designers in Indonesia, fostering a creative exchange between the Indonesian and UK fashion industries.

Bringing its expertise in strategic fashion partnerships to bear, the CFE provided bespoke training and mentoring as part of IFF, transforming designers into globally visible designer businesses. Capturing the attention of buyers from Harvey Nichols, ASOS and Question Air, as well as noted fashion commentator Colin McDowell, the IFF programme gained recognition at an international level.

IFF successes include Toton, Major Minor, Peggy Hartanto, By Velvet and Sean & Sheila having pop-up stores in Fenwick’s Bond Street windows, and world-renowned modest wear fashion designer Dian Pelangi being the London College of Fashion’s ‘Designer in Residence’ in 2015.
