Story

British-French design duo Wright Le Chapelain met while studying at Central Saint Martins. In 2017 they launched their first collection of women’s suiting and shirting exclusively with BROWNS.

Born in Britain and France respectively, Imogen Wright and Vincent Le Chapelain draw on their different backgrounds to explore the notion of the familiar within the European wardrobe. They aim to design unique and timeless pieces which are contemporary yet rooted in the everyday.

Sustainability and ethics are at the core of the brand. Wright Le Chapelain research, develop and manufacture their collections within a ten-mile radius, reducing their carbon footprint and developing a personal relationship with the skilled tailors and seamstresses creating their garments. The integrity of their product is key: they source their suitings from British Heritage Mills and their shirtings from Italy, a transparent production chain from start to finish.

Their work has been featured by, among others, Vogue UK, Vogue Ukraine, Another Magazine, The Sunday Times, Marfa Journal and Clash Magazine.

Current stockists include Browns London, Editions Japan and Tom Greyhound Paris.

"We are very grateful to have been selected to be part of the CFE fashion pioneer program. Last year we took part in the Market Entry program which we have found extremely helpful. As a young brand, we are aware of how important support is in order to grow and reach your goals. We look forward to starting the program and to keep on developing with the help of professionals and experts in their fields." Wright Le Chapelain
