Story
Frances Wadsworth Jones set up her eponymous jewellery label in 2008 after graduating from London’s prestigious Royal College of Art and has since made a name for herself with her playfully conceptual and quietly provocative style. From the minutiae of nature rendered in 18-carat gold, to pearl necklaces as portraiture – preciousness, humour and an exceptional eye for detail combine to define the award winning designer’s unpredictable yet unmistakable aesthetic.
All of Frances Wadsworth Jones’ collections are designed and hand crafted in the heart of London with a commitment to quality and originality. Each exquisitely intricate piece is an attempt to turn expectations upside down and find comic relief in the serious world of fine jewellery.
Frances’ Jewellery was featured in the Thames and Hudson publication ‘The New Jewellers’ and has gained the attention of leading press such as L’Officiel Italia, British Vogue, ELLE, Crafts Magazine and Lurve amongst others. In 2014 she was selected to take part in ‘Made in London: Jewellery Now’ a major public exhibition at the Museum of London which showcased the work of ‘the most talented jewellers working in London today’. In 2016, Frances was awarded a place in Rock Vault, the prestigious initiative organised by the British Fashion Council and curated by Stephen Webster MBE to ‘promote Britain’s, most innovative fine jewellery talent’.
